Presentation/Description of the method

MikroGrown is driven by the companies themselves. The core activities of the network are core group evenings, which are organized on average once a month in each area. The topic of the core group evening is determined by the interest and need of each host company, for example: Digitalisation changes purchasing behavior - what should a micro firm consider? Not everything is worth doing yourself - how do I benefit from networks? Visual marketing and image in shape? Together to the world? Experts are called as evening starters (key speakers) as needed.

General objectives

Leading the way: Digitalisation, growth and internationalization. The MicroGrow project is a new kind of micro-business growth network for companies with less than 10 employees or less than EUR 2 million in revenue. The network brings together more than 100 micro-companies from Iisalmi, Kuopio and Varkaus areas.

Why it has been selected as good practice

Companies have begun to put the ideas of the evenings into practice through financial advice and sparring discussions. There has also been co-operation between companies: the products of another micro-company have been put on sale and common products and services have been developed.
