1. Region of Western Greece
Region of Western Greece implements and participates to projects, with the aim to support and empower women entrepreneurs. By those programs, Region of Western Greece also aims to develop the capabilities of local stakeholders to provide improved support for women to start up and grow businesses.
ICON WOM-EN project is one of those projects and aims to promote the development of RIS entrepreneurship in the regions and to build the capacity of local actors to better support women entrepreneurs to start and develop their businesses, providing them with innovative support services. Also, creating a more positive environment for the development of female entrepreneurship, while through the empowerment of women, aims to contribute to gender equality, as well as to creating more jobs and economic growth.
2. Greek Association of Women Entrepreneurs (SEGE)
SEGE is a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), founded in Thessaloniki in 1997, with a Pan-Hellenic non-profit nature and regards women engaged in business activities in Greece. It is governed by a 9-member board. SEGE is a member of the Committee of Trade and Development of the World Trade Organization (WTO), the Federation of Industries of Northern Greece (fing), the Association of Organizations of Mediterranean Businesswomen (AFAEMME), while several of its members are participating in the administration Boards of Greek Chambers. SEGE collaborates with ministries, social partners, business associations and NGOs at local and European level to promote the interests of women engaged in business.
3. Womanitee
Womanitee are the first centers for women entrepreneurship in Greece, which in collaboration with Local Government Organizations and women entrepreneurship organizations aim to empower and support women entrepreneurs throughout Greece. It is an initiative of the Central Union of Municipalities of Greece (KEDE), with the co-operation of all Municipalities and the support of Ministry of Development and Investments.
Aim of the Womanitee is to strengthen women who desire to develop their enterprises, through education, information and by providing to them the tools they need, in order to make the next step in their career.
Each municipality participating in Womanitee, supports women who wants to be or already are entrepreneurs, by providing to them services for their development, promotion, financing and networking.
4. MeXOXO
MeXOXO is a non-profit organization, established in 2013, which empowers, educates and connects women with the goal to achieve socio-economic growth. MExoxo is active to the following countries: Mexico, Nepal, Liberia, Greece, Cyprus, Bulgaria, UK, Germany, Ukraine, Costa Rica, United States, Albania, Israel, Romania, South Africa. More than 5.000 women were trained and mentored on entrepreneurship and how to make their ideas real, by creating their own companies.
MeXOXO is shaping the lives of women and youth around the world. Their workshops and one on one mentoring sessions are providing a holistic approach to developing entrepreneurial skills. The organization is dedicated to stepping up women’ efforts in developing a culture of creativity and innovation.
5. Women Act
Women Act is a non-profit organization that aims at empowering women in fulfilling their political, social, cultural and economic potential by generating knowledge, providing training and connecting with the civil society. They offer tools to help women to develop their capacities. Women Act works for equality and motivate women to embrace their full potential by claiming leadership positions in all professional fields.
6. Women On Top
Women On Top is an organization for the professional empowerment of women and for equality at the workplace. Women On Top support working and unemployed women and their environment, by using mentoring, lifelong learning, consulting and content creation as tools. Their goal is to eliminate the obstacles that women face in their participation in the economy, by empowering them and by contributing to a change in the social, labor and political environment around them.
7. BPW Athens
Business Professional Women Athens (BPW Athens) is a non-government and non-profit organisation. BPW Athens is a member of the BPW Europe network. The main goals of the organisation are the empowerment of women, the promotion of equality and the defending of the rights of business and professional women. Young BPW Athens is also an association of women entrepreneurs and professionals in Athens. Their vision is to eliminate direct and indirect discrimination, improve the current legal framework to enhance the professional development of women and encourage networking and solidarity among women.
Generally the best place to start is the Chamber of Commerce in your Italian city. In each Chamber there is a Committee for Women Entrepreneurs composed by all the business representative organizations. Link to that it is important to say that in Italy the majority of associations representing women have their group dealing with women entrepreneurs, and so you will have women in agriculture, women in SMEs, women in cooperatives and so on. Finnish women were the first in the world to get full political rights. They were also among the first to set up their own companies for their independent businesses and formed women’s business associations for networking.

1. The Women Entrepreneurs of Finland
The Women Entrepreneurs of Finland (Suomen Yrittäjänaiset) was set up in 1947. The goal of the Association is to promote the economic, social and operating conditions of women entrepreneurs. At present the Women Entrepreneurs of Finland has more than 60 member associations and over 5000 individual members. Almost 60 percent of members are sole entrepreneurs, 40 percent have employees. Association have members for all different fields of businesses.
2. Women in Tech Finland (WIT)
Women in Tech Finland aims to encourage and support women and promote the values of diversity, equity and inclusion in technology. Women in Tech network include people across Finland and our community is growing all the time. Our activities and events are free and open for all individuals.
3. Centre for Economic Development, Transport and the Environment (ELY)

4. Iisalmi Region Women Entrepreneurs’ Association
Iisalmi Region Women Entrepreneurs’ Association (Iisalmen Seudun Yrittäjänaiset ry) has been operating in Iisalmi since 1952. The association includes entrepreneurs from various fields – those who have been working for a long time and those who have just started. Cooperation, discussions and exchange of opinions with entrepreneurs from different fields help and enrich entrepreneurs’ everyday life. Association is an active player and guardian of the interests of women entrepreneurs in Iisalmi.

6. Kuopio Regional Chamber of Commerce
Founded in 1918, the Kuopio Regional Chamber of Commerce is a speaker on behalf of companies, who actively works for the area’s companies and business. The Kuopio Regional Chamber of Commerce has more than 850 members who comprehensively represent the business life of the region. In addition to companies in the area, our extensive member network includes communities, educational institutions, and city and municipal organizations. Our member companies represent about half of the turnover of the business community in the Northern Savonia region.

8. Savogrow Development Company
SavoGrow is coordinating MikroGrow network of micro-enterprises in Northern Savonia, which brings together micro-enterprises. The network is intended for companies with less than 10 employees or a turnover of less than two million. The driving force behind MikroGrow’s operating model is the companies themselves. The basic activities of the network are core group evenings, which usually meet at the premises of the respective host company. Experts are invited to participate and give a keynote speech the evenings as needed.
Companies have set out to put the ideas that emerged into the evenings into practice through financial advice and sparring discussions. There has also been a welcome co-operation between companies: the products of another micro-enterprise have been put up for sale and joint products and services have been developed.
9. EduSavo Oy
EduSavo’s business idea is to provide various high-quality training and development services as well as other services on behalf of the Ylä-Savo Education Consortium in a cost-effective manner.
