Online Training for women e-entrepreneurs “How can I develop my e-business?”

p-consulting.gr and E.GY.PA. (Patras Women Union) organized an online training course for “Creating an e-business”. The course aimed at upskilling or re-skilling knowledge and competences of women, mainly over 40, that aspire to create their own businesses online or that were interested in e-entrepreneurship by acquiring digital visibility.

Project partners published an open call at the beginning of March 2022, via press releases and posts to their social media accounts, including a registration form for those interested in participating. Finally, 30 women registered and participated to the WIN on-line training course for women e-entrepreneurs.

The training in Greece started on Monday 14.03.2022 and was completed on Friday 01.04.2022. Due to COVID-19 pandemic situation and the geographical dispersion of the participants all over the country, it was implemented via online training (training material to the e-platform). To facilitate and further enhance knowledge and awareness, there were 2 online meetings via zoom platform, on Monday 14.03.2022 and Thursday 24.03.2022.

During the 1st online meeting on Monday 14.03.2022, the Win on-line project as well as the e-platform of the training course and its contents, were presented by trainers. In addition, there was an invited speaker, Mrs. Amalia Voulgari, Biochemist, President of the Regional Committee for Gender Equality of the Prefecture of Achaia, Appointed Consultant of the Region of Western Greece in matters of social policy, who spoke about and presented women’s entrepreneurship in Greece, especially in the Region of Western Greece and answered questions posed by participants.

During the 2nd online meeting on Thursday 24.03.2022, trainers and trainees discussed progress of the training and questions and queries were answered. In addition, Mr. George Melissaropoulos, impact, sustainability, and innovation consultant presented an extra training session on the topic “techniques, tools and funding sources in e-entrepreneurship”.

After the completion of the training course, participants evaluated the training process and gave their feedback. The results of the evaluation of the participants of WIN on-line training course were highly satisfactory and emphasized the national tendency towards women’s e-entrepreneurship.
