Presentation\/Description of the method<\/strong><\/h3>\nThe \"Central Registration and Information on Economic Activity\"<\/strong> (CEIDG) system has been launched by the Ministry of Economy of Poland as an online one-stop-shop tool for Polish entrepreneurs for registration, updating and finding information about other businesses.\n\n \n

General objectives<\/strong><\/h3>\n
    \n \t
  1. It aims at building a centralised database of business activities in Poland and registering online business activities.<\/li>\n \t
  2. The electronic exchange of relevant data between all the institutions involved in the process of registration.<\/li>\n \t
  3. Once registered in CEIDG, the entrepreneurs can go online to change their registry entries, temporarily suspend activity and even close the business, without having to visit any government offices.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n \n

    Why it has been selected as good practice<\/strong><\/h3>\n
      \n \t
    1. The latest data provided online shows that the system is now running at a rate of more than 20 000 transactions a day. By now, entrepreneurs have made 3 million entries into the CEIDG.<\/li>\n \t
    2. CEIDG is an element of the Polish Single Point of Contact Network<\/a>.The project has been extended to cover with services all other procedures connected with business activity in Poland.<\/li>\n \t
    3. The electronic exchange of relevant data between all the institutions involved in the process of registration.<\/li>\n \t
    4. Bureaucratically-friendly, as users are not forced to visit any government offices for their enterprise registration.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n \n

      Final comments<\/strong><\/h3>\nThe CEIDG system coordinates all authorities involved in the business registration process in Poland. This portal facilitates business creation for both entrepreneurs from Poland and abroad.
